Band is hiring a BDR to support how businesses leverage technology to maximize growth and profitability through performance-based trade agreements. Our founders, who previously founded Blue Apron, and led product at Bread Payments, have already launched a product that has delighted initial customers in B2B buying groups and the distribution market. Now, we’re looking for someone to lead business development and accelerate our expansion into a market where trillions of dollars move annually yet remain underserved by modern software solutions.

About the role‍: This is an opportunity to be on the ground floor at a venture-backed startup, reporting directly to the Founding AE. You will help build our pipeline and accelerate our go-to-market motion. While the initial mandate is business development and driving our expansion, the role can naturally evolve into being a full sales cycle Account Executive at Band.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cold outbound prospecting distributor and manufacturer accounts
  • Qualify and research prospects and tailor outreach to their needs
  • Build a robust sales pipeline
  • Identify and engage multiple decision-makers across procurement, finance, and sales
  • Demand generation, booking meetings
  • Experiment, use metrics, and leverage tools that help you drive new business for Band

‍About you‍: The ideal candidate possesses strong sales, interpersonal, and organizational skills. They are comfortable with multitasking and able to meet (and exceed) assigned quotas. Detail-oriented, results driven, and passionate reps will thrive at Band. If you have the following skills and experience, we can’t wait to speak with you!

What you’ve accomplished:

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in sales. bonus: exposure to distributors, manufacturers, or similar B2B industries and/or rebate management
  • Track record of success in cold calling, lead generation, and building sales pipelines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to understand and navigate complex organizations
  • High level of accountability, with the creativity and tenacity to connect with key stakeholders and tailor solutions to their business needs
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where adaptability and experimentation are key to success
  • Experience working with Nooks, Hubspot, Zoominfo and Clay is a plus
