The Role
We are hiring a Neurology Nurse Practitioner to support our mission to radically improve access to high-quality brain health and dementia care! Our clinicians partner with multidisciplinary therapists and collaborating neurologists to support patients and their families during their brain health journey.
This position is a 1099 independent contract role.
Who You Are
- You are a Nurse Practitioner actively licensed and in good standing in California. Holding licenses in additional states preferred but not required, including: FL, GA, MT, NC, NJ, NY, PA, and SC
- Board certification (AANP or ANCC); specifically American Board of Neuroscience Nursing certification (SCRN, CNRN) or ANCC Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) certification preferred
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) certification in the states in which you are licensed preferred
- You have worked with either a geriatric patient population or patients experiencing cognitive or behavioral issues
- Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders experience preferred specifically, and a minimum of 2+ years’ clinical experience; existing dementia proficiency or certifications are a bonus
- Comfortable developing treatment plans and prescribing medications
- Maintain a strong evidence-based clinical skill set while practicing and implementing outcome-focused care
- Empathetic, active, and intuitive listening with strong verbal and written communication
- Knowledgeable in crisis response
- Comfortable working autonomously in a telemedicine environment
- Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate various systems & tools with ease (this includes, but is not limited to Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, proprietary EMR, etc.)
- Passionate about our mission of improving access to high-quality brain health and dementia care
- An entrepreneurial spirit or previous experience within a startup or fast-paced environment is preferred
How your skills and passion will come to life at Isaac Health
- Hold thoughtful and engaged sessions with patients; 60-minute initial sessions and 30-minute follow-up sessions
- Provide minimum of 10-15 hours of weekly availability
- Create your own flexible schedule based on your individual availability! The scheduled time must fall within the hours of 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM US Eastern time.
- You will work collaboratively with other brain health care partners at Isaac Health to ensure the most beneficial level of treatment for our patients
- Work alongside other like-minded clinicians and, when needed, appropriate collaborating physician – all that have a common goal to positively impact the lives of others and create an environment that leads to favorable outcomes for patients
