At Jukebox Health, our mission is to empower everyone to live safer, healthier, more independent lives at home. We partner with health plans to make homes safer and more accessible for older adults and high-needs populations. We achieve this by combining technology with networks of clinicians, suppliers, and installers to deliver personalized home modifications and environmental supports nationwide. Founded by experienced entrepreneurs, Jukebox Health is a fast growing healthcare services company backed by top venture capital firms like Valtruis and The Home Depot.

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will be Jukebox Health's first clinical executive leader, responsible for articulating, validating, and amplifying the clinical impact of home modifications on health outcomes and cost savings. This leader will play a pivotal role in helping the company deepen its value proposition with MCOs, support strategic growth initiatives, and shape the integration of clinical rigor into Jukebox's home safety and care-at-home innovation model. The role will begin on a fractional basis, ideal for a physician leader with experience in geriatrics, home-based care, or population health who is excited to work in an entrepreneurial, mission-driven setting. Over time, the role may evolve into a full-time executive position.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Strategy & Outcomes Validation

  • Lead the development of clinical frameworks and ROI models that link Jukebox's home modifications to measurable improvements in clinical outcomes (e.g., fall reduction, hospital readmissions, functional decline)
  • Partner with data and actuarial teams to evaluate and communicate clinical ROI to MCOs and other strategic stakeholders
  • Develop condition-specific or population-specific clinical pathways where Jukebox interventions have the greatest evidence-backed impact

External Engagement & MCO Partnerships

  • Serve as the primary clinical voice in meetings with Managed Care Organizations and Medicaid plans, building trust and reinforcing the medical value of Jukebox's services
  • Participate in the design and execution of clinical pilots, retrospective claims analyses, and real-world evidence studies
  • Represent Jukebox Health at key industry events, conferences, and policy forums to promote the role of home safety in whole-person care

Clinical Governance & Quality Oversight

  • Ensure Jukebox's services meet high standards for clinical quality, patient-centered design, and safety
  • Advise on care team training and workflows to ensure clinical alignment in home modification recommendations
  • Support regulatory compliance and risk management efforts as the business scales

Innovation & Product Development

  • Collaborate with product, operations, and design teams to embed clinical insights into Jukebox's digital tools, data platforms, and service workflows
  • Evaluate new service lines and innovation opportunities (e.g., remote assessments, caregiver engagement, predictive risk models) that extend Jukebox's impact

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of progressive clinical leadership experience in healthcare delivery, population health, care management, home-based care, or geriatrics

  • Strong understanding of the intersection between social determinants of health (SDOH), home environments, and medical outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage both clinical and business stakeholders with credibility

Preferred

  • Experience in an early-stage or growth-stage company
  • Familiarity with claims data analytics, cost modeling, or care-at-home innovation
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; willing to roll up sleeves in a fast-moving environment
  • Board certification in geriatrics, internal medicine, family medicine, or related specialty
