We are Local Infusion.
Local Infusion is the fastest growing infusion provider in the United States, with a mission to transform the specialty infusion industry, because patients deserve better. By providing both exceptional, patient-centered care and the proprietary, AI-driven technology powering it, Local Infusion accelerates access, simplifies workflows, and improves outcomes for everyone in the infusion journey — from patients and clinicians to health plans, health systems, employers, and pharma.
Clinicians can spend less time on paperwork and more time with patients, bringing comfort, connection, and community back to healthcare. With Local Infusion, every patient and every care team is fully supported, every step of the way.
We’re looking for a Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about raising the bar in infusion therapy care.
The Nurse Practitioner will contribute to the company’s growth by providing direct patient care at our Glen Allen location in Virginia.
The Nurse Practitioner will make sure our patients receive the highest level of care possible in infusion therapy. The ideal candidate has experience working autonomously, and experience starting IVs and working with biologic drugs. The Nurse Practitioner role is perfect for those wishing to remain at the forefront of healthcare innovation, while having predictable hours, autonomy, and a manageable workload (always a 3:1 patient to clinician ratio).
In this role you will:
Provide in-person infusion care and support at a Local Infusion center 3 days a week, and work remotely 2 days a week.
-
Your time will be split approximately:
-
80% Clinical Responsibilities
Deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and guidelines
Communicate effectively with patients across all aspects of their care (scheduling, symptoms, inquiries, etc.)
Coordinate with referring/prescribing providers to ensure appropriate and effective care
Order and maintain clinical inventory and supplies
-
20% Quality & Compliance Responsibilities
Onboard new Medicare patients by conducting establishment calls and completing documentation
Perform chart audits, provide clinical supervision, and ensure compliance across the region
Serve as a resource for patient education, especially for preventative health consultations
-
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient or infusion-based care
Strong clinical judgment: IV therapy experience preferred
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Experience with Medicare documentation and quality/compliance processes preferred
