We are seeking a talented Senior Backend Engineer to help lead development of our cloud backend infrastructure. In this role, you will work alongside world leaders in AI for healthcare and build critical software infrastructure to support our suite of mobile health sensing products.

Required qualifications:

• BS or MS in computer science or related field
• 5+ years experience building, maintaining and scaling backend infrastructure (microservices, DevOps, databases, API integrations)
• Deep understanding of cloud services, including infrastructure-as-code, serverless compute, databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data storage. Experience with AWS services preferred.
• Expertise in designing and deploying REST API-based containerized microservices
• Experience maintaining and monitoring production systems in cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Proficient in Python programming including object-oriented design, testing, and dependency management
• Understanding of web protocols, security best practices, and authorization patterns (OIDC, OAUTH)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficient in AI coding tools such as Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, etc
