Sales & Business Development, Operations
Posted on Mar 1, 2025

Job Summary:

SafeRide Health is seeking our first Director of Growth Operations, a pivotal role responsible for establishing and scaling our Growth Operations function. In the near term, you will serve as the project owner for all RFPs/RFXs—particularly government and Managed Care Organization (MCO) proposals—ensuring timely, high-quality responses. Over time, you will expand your scope to include broader Sales Operations initiatives spanning sales, marketing, and customer success, such as territory planning, compensation design, revenue forecasting, training and development and tool optimization. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Operations, Legal, Product, and other departments to build systems and processes that propel SafeRide Health’s growth. As the business scales, there is a clear path to evolve this position into a larger leadership role, including team management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

RFP/RFX Management (Immediate Focus)

· Lead End-to-End RFP/RFX Process: Manage government and MCO proposals from intake to submission, ensuring timeliness and quality.

· Qualify Leads & Provide Pricing: Collaborate with Sales Executives to qualify opportunities, identify win themes, and incorporate client intelligence. Review and finalize pricing to meet Revenue, Gross Profit, and EBITDA goals.

· Knowledge & Content Library: Develop and maintain a repository of proposal templates, product marketing materials, and updated process documentation.

· Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with Finance, Legal, Product, and other SMEs to ensure pricing models reflect market feedback, competitive analysis, and new data from clients.

· Metrics & KPIs: Track key indicators (turnaround time, on-time submission rate, win-rate) and leverage insights to enhance the proposal process.

Growth Operations & Sales Enablement (Longer-Term Scope)

· Sales Process & Pipeline Management: Design and refine sales processes (e.g., lead qualification, territory planning) to improve pipeline quality and drive revenue growth.

· Revenue Forecasting & Compensation: Partner with Finance to create compensation structures aligned with company goals, and lead revenue forecasting to boost accuracy.

· Tool & Technology Optimization: Evaluate, implement, and optimize systems (CRM, marketing automation, analytics) that streamline workflows and provide actionable insights.

· Cross-Functional Initiatives: Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Success to align on growth strategies, performance metrics, and retention/upsell opportunities.

· Best Practices & SOPs: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, playbooks, and job aids for repeatable, scalable success.

· Learning and Development: Develop and maintain learning and development materials for the growth team

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

· Strategic Partnerships: Act as a trusted advisor to executives and department heads (Finance, Product, Operations, Legal) to drive alignment on strategic initiatives.

· Process Improvement: Identify gaps and bottlenecks in current workflows; propose and implement solutions to increase efficiency, compliance, and quality.

· Project Management: Oversee complex, cross-functional projects that enable business growth, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are met.

Required Education/Experience:

Education & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree (Business, Finance, Economics, or related field).

· 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Growth Operations, or RevOps, including direct responsibility for RFP/RFX management.

· Proven track record with government/MCO RFPs is essential.

Technical & Analytical Skills

· Strong financial acumen, experience with pricing strategy, and familiarity with CRM and sales automation tools.

· Advanced proficiency in Excel (or Google Sheets) for modeling and analytics.

Domain Expertise

· Previous exposure to healthcare, health-tech, or transportation-tech is a plus.

· Comfort working in fast-paced, scaling environments with multiple stakeholders.

Soft Skills

· Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and stakeholder management skills.

· Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive initiatives to completion.

· Strong leadership presence, with the capacity to influence decisions at all levels of an organization.

Mindset and Values We’re Looking For:

In this role, we are not just seeking someone with the right experience, but for a motivated, curious, and proactive leader-in-the-making. The ideal candidate will embody the following traits:

· Independent Critical Thinker: You spot problems, ask questions, and suggest solutions.

· Initiative-Driven: You take ownership of your work, actively seeking ways to achieve results.

· Results-Oriented: You care about impact.

· Adaptable and Resilient: You’re comfortable with ambiguity.

· Collaborative Communicator: You’re able to build strong relationships across functions and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
