Manual QA Engineer (Entry Level) - Remote

About the Role
SafeRide Health is seeking a Manual QA Engineer (Entry-Level) to help ensure the delivery of high-quality, life-changing software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team delivering full-stack and back-end products that power our healthcare transportation platform. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation, attention to detail, and a passion for improving the customer experience.
If you’re located in the San Antonio area, you may be expected to work in-office a few days a week. Remote applicants must be based in the U.S. and may be asked to travel occasionally for team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and understand product and feature requirements, including functional and non-functional expectations
- Develop and execute comprehensive manual test cases, including both positive and negative scenarios
- Log and track defects, collaborating with engineers to ensure timely resolution
- Conduct regression testing to confirm issue resolution and prevent new issues
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and Operations teams to triage issues and ensure quality outcomes
- Stay current with new testing tools, techniques, and platform updates to continuously improve testing processes
- Advocate for quality across the SDLC, participating in planning and sprint ceremonies
Required Qualifications
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using modern web browsers and navigating web-based platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within Agile software development methodologies
- Hands-on experience testing across mobile (iOS/Android), tablet, and web interfaces
- Familiarity with software product life cycles and quality assurance workflows
- Exposure to tools such as Postman and Chrome DevTools (Network Inspector)
- Basic scripting knowledge in JavaScript, Python, PHP, or similar
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
