Role Overview

SafeRide Health invites an experienced and strategic leader to join us as a Senior Network Vendor Manager (Sr NVM).

In this remote role, with up to 25% travel, you will be the linchpin in developing SafeRide's most critical transportation provider relationships. Your mission will be to drive excellence and strategic growth within our top-tier provider network. As a seasoned professional, you will be expected to elevate our standards of service delivery by ensuring compliance with rigorous performance metrics and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This senior position transcends day-to-day management; it requires a vision-oriented mindset to influence pivotal decisions and guide our network towards a future that aligns with SafeRide’s overarching goals. In addition to being a custodian of our brand's values, you will mentor a team of dedicated Network Specialists, shaping their development and the quality of their performance. Your role is not just to manage but to inspire, leading by example to navigate the evolving landscape of healthcare transportation.


Primary Responsibilities
Vendor Management:

  • Cultivate deep relationships with our top transportation providers to understand their business incentives, showcasing how partnering with SafeRide can help them achieve their desired outcomes.
  • Engage and collaborate with transportation providers, encouraging their growth and service extension across larger geographic areas, in alignment with our objective of fewer but higher-quality and cost-effective providers.
  • Handle inbound and outbound communications effectively, addressing vendor inquiries with guidance and feedback for ongoing improvement.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and performance evaluations using scorecard reporting.
  • Collaborate with Complaints & Grievances (C&G) on Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) for providers found to be acting inappropriately.
  • Monitor service levels, focusing on SLA metrics that drive internal processes.
  • Guide Transportation Providers (TPs) in adopting SafeRide's digital platforms and methodologies, conditioning behaviors to align with our standards.

Vendor Oversight:

  • Ensure that our transportation providers are adhering to key performance metrics and SLAs.
  • Actively follow up with providers to confirm rides, ensuring that transportation commitments are met consistently.
  • Monitor rides being delivered by your vendors to ensure no Fraud, Waste, or Abuse

Ride Escalation Resolution:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving ride escalations from the routing team, facilitating successful ride deliveries.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with internal teams to synchronize our business strategy with the provider network's capabilities.

People Management:

  • Lead and develop the regional Network Specialists team, fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring efficient and timely operations.
  • Act as a mentor, guiding the team towards achieving individual and collective goals aligned with company objectives.

Miscellaneous Duties:
• Perform additional tasks as necessary to support the organization's evolving needs.

Who We're Looking For:

You must be/have:

  • Minimum of 4 years in a vendor management role with proven experience building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs, and navigating challenges to ensure mutual success.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and a demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence effecBvely in person, via email, and over the phone.
  • Able to think strategically, anticipate future trends, needs, or challenges, and align them with organizational objectives.
  • Proficient in conducting negotiations to achieve favorable contract terms, resolve disputes, and ensure provider satisfaction.
  • Able to adapt to changing business conditions, handle ambiguity, and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • A positive attitude and genuine empathy in interactions.
  • Willing to travel up to 20% for provider meetings, strategic discussions, and relationship building

You’re an ideal fit if you:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree (Pre-healthcare experience a bonus)
  • Are familiar with health insurance programs (Medicaid, Medicare, NEMT) and related guidelines
  • Have experience collaborating with multiple internal departments, ensuring alignment and coherence in strategy and execution
